Wereldwijd is er een toenemende vraag naar ecologisch verantwoorde veehouderij. Dierwelvaart is hierbij zeer belangrijk. Gedreven door de publieke opinie en vraag vanuit de markt veranderd de manier waarop pluimvee gehouden wordt. Samen met zeer uitgebreide en strenge wetgeving zorgen die factoren voor innovatie in de manieren van huisvesting. Koploper in de race voor verantwoorde veehouderij is het concept van de vrije-uitloop stal. Centraal in dit artikel staat het ventilatiesysteem in dergelijke stallen, een gelijkdruk-ventilatiesysteem. Deze systemen werken voor zowel de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpi-polytechniek.com\/nl\/blog\/gelijkdruk-ventilatie-in-een-pluimveestal\/\"><strong>pluimveehouderij<\/strong><\/a> als de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpi-polytechniek.com\/nl\/blog\/gelijkdruk-ventilatie-voor-varkens\/\"><strong>varkenshouderij<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In EPV systemen wordt de lucht altijd binnen gebracht door inlaatkokers. De vuile lucht kan op verschillende manieren worden afgevoerd, bijvoorbeeld met wandventilatoren of afvoerkokers, de inkomende lucht kan echter enkel en alleen met kokers worden gerealiseerd. In het ontwerp van de inlaatkokers is er de mogelijkheid om gebruik te maken van recirculatiecomponenten. Met recirculatie wordt de buitenlucht bij binnenkomst vermengd met warme stallucht waardoor deze luchtstroom al op temperatuur komt. Dit voorkomt koudeval op de dieren en het helpt stookkosten te besparen door hergebruik van aanwezige warmte. Het controleren van de hoeveelheid recirculerende lucht is een constante taak voor de klimaatcomputer die aanpassingen maakt op de veranderende weersomstandigheden en seizoenen. In de zomer is de recirculatie volledig gesloten om enkel verse buitenlucht binnen te krijgen.
